Job Title: Cell Production Technician
Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time

Summary: Employee will be an integral part of a solid oxide fuel cell production team. Work will include materials preparation, production activities, and other assignments from supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receives assignments from management and process engineers regarding manufacturing, specifications, equipment routing, and process flow
  • Accurately follows written procedures and keep meticulous records of materials, process, and equipment used, as well as test results
  • Provides hands on contributions in all scheduled cell production activities, including, but not limited to raw material mixing, blending, processing, and furnacing
  • Experience with ceramic materials
  • Completes all required paperwork; prepares required reports and correspondence
  • Maintains production records of equipment for repair or cleaning and assures proper function throughout work shift
  • Regularly uses scales, balances, micrometers, and calipers in testing, measuring, and monitoring quality control
  • Maintains a safe and clean work area
  • Complies with laboratory, federal, state, health, safety, fire, and environmental policies
  • Keeps supervisor informed on a regular basis on production activities

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum one year experience or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel
  • Must be friendly, courteous, and flexible to work with a variety of staff
  • Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; work well under pressure; able to manage multiple projects

  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl
  • Continually required to use specialized equipment
